Meet / DOUG MANN, PE SENIOR WR ENGINEER

Doug is a registered civil engineer bringing 25 years of municipal and 14 years of private sector experience to SEG.  His strengths include oversight of development processes from conceptual planning to construction, open communication, and alternative design considerations.

As a civil engineer with the City of Scottsdale’s Capital Project Management group, he implemented a construction document review process providing quality assurance and compliance with the applicable design codes and obtained considerable experience with the design and construction of streets, trailheads, parks, libraries, fire stations, reservoirs, reclamation plants, pump stations, water transmission lines, lift stations, wastewater trunk lines, storm drains, culverts and bridges.  Doug is proficient at coordinating plans sets across the civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, irrigation, and dry utility disciplines.

As a principal engineer in the City’s Water Resources Department, he proactively assisted and directed developers, property owners, and engineers on the requirements and potential solutions to keep projects moving forward.  He likes open communication and freely utilized resources in the City’s planning, financial services, legal, transportation, storm water, fire, plan review, water wastewater operations, water conservation, and field inspection services divisions.

Doug’s project experience in Colorado and Arizona includes master planned communities, resorts, residential properties, commercial centers, state land planning, roadways, military bases, and industrial sites.  Doug is proficient at developing agreements and preparing easements, plats, and specifications and reviewing construction product data, schedules, and geotechnical reports.
