The Valencia Road and Indian Agency Road improvement plans consisted of sidewalk and median improvements including right-of-way grading and pavement striping, and coordination with the dry utilities.
MCDOT On-Call Engineer. The project improved the intersection from three lanes to six lanes in accordance with the City of Mesa requirements with intensive coordination with MCDOT having jurisdiction of Southern Ave.
The Rio Verde Water line project extended from 122nd Street to 136th Street on Rio Verde Drive in North Scottsdale. The project scope included 3,949 LF of new 16” water main and 5,510 LF of 12” water main with relocation of existing main and pressure reducing station as required to allow future road improvements. This project involved extension of the water distribution system along a heavily traveled corridor, coordination with the existing dry utility companies, and addressing several wash and future culvert crossings.
As an on-call Engineering firm for MCDOT, SEG was the prime consultant for the Tiger Wash at Eagle Eye Road crossing Hydrology and Hydraulic Study. The watershed of this study consists of 160 square miles and is mainly natural mountain reserve. Tasks included the preparation of a drainage Concept Report for Tiger Wash, providing river mechanics analysis, embankment stabilization, sediment transport analysis and control, scour analysis and complete best management practice plans to address soil erosion and dust control according to the latest versions of the Maricopa County Drainage Policies and Standards manual and the Drainage Design Manuals for Maricopa County.
